Dear Parents,
It is almost time for the beginning of the Religious Education Program to start and all children are not registered. If you have not registered your child, please do so as soon as possible. Having your child registered before the first day of school eliminates much confusion on that first day.
Your child will be placed in a class and I would appreciate if you do not move him or her on your own as then our records will not show that they are in attendance. It is also important that your child attends each week unless absent for sickness or serious reason. Sports and other school activities should be discouraged by the school and leaders.
It is important that your child attends class each year as reception of the sacraments in the appropriate grade depends on this. It is also important that the children attend Mass regularly.
We will open with the 9:30 Mass on Sunday, September 19, 2010 and I hope you will be able to attend with your children. There will also be a Mass at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 22, 2010 followed by classes.
On Sunday, September 19 we will celebrate the opening with a Picnic at 2:00 p.m. and all are invited to attend.
The calendar will be posted on Sacred Hearts webpage before the end of August.

The opening Mass for teachers and families will be on September 19,
2010 at 9:30 a.m. The Parish Picnic at 2:00 p.m. on the parish lawn
will open the year. All are invited.

May 4, 2011 at 7:00 p.m. we will have the May Crowning of Mary and
Benediction in the Church for both Wednesday and Sunday classes.
RELIGIOUS EDUCATION WEEK IS APRIL 3 - 10. We will open with a pancake
breakfast on April 3 and will have a special Masds on April 10 at 3:00
p.m. All are invited to attend. Please put on your calendar.
MAY CROWNING ON MAY 4 at 7:00 p.m. for both Sunday and Wednesday classes.
The Advent Workshop will be on November 20, 2010 at 12:30 p.m. in the
auditorium. Please find hyour advent holder for the Advent Wreath and
bring it with you.
THE CHRISTMAS PAGEANT on December 22 at 7:00 p.m. is for both Sunday
and Wednesday classers. There are no classes that afternoon.
FIRST RECONCILIATION FOR CHILDREN preparing for First Holy Communion
will be on January 7,2011 at 11:00 a.m. In case of bad weather we
will have it Januarhy 21 at 11:00 a.m. in the Church.
We do not receive the Confirmation date until after the New Year. As
soon as I receive that date I will post it on the Website
Confirmation retreat will be on March 26, 2011 at 10:00 a.m in Sacred
Hearts Auditorium. Father Gerry from Mercy High will be the director
for that day.
The Thank You dinner for the catechists will be on May 128, 2011 if
this is good for Father Jeff. Time and place will be announced at a
later date.
FIRST COMMUNION WILL BE ON May 1, May 8, and May 15 at the 11:00 a.m. Mass.
This year Our Lady of the Hampton will make First Communion on May 8,
2011 at the 11:00 a.m. Mass.
PLEASE NOTE THAT WE HAVE CLASSES ACCORDING TO THE SOUTHAMPTON SCHOOLS.
IF THE SCHOOLS CLOSE WE ARE ALSO CLOSED.
