Building and Grounds Committee
Members of this committee work on projects that maintain and enhance the grounds and facilities. Specific projects include landscaping, painting, electrical work and furniture and minor repairs.
Birthright of Peconic
This organization is dedicated to the caring of expectant mothers in need and their babies. They arrange baby showers once a year; provide layettes for babies born to mothers in jail. They provide parenting and Lamaze classes.
Finance Committee
The Finance Committee assists in the administration of the parish temporalities. Members advise in the wise stewardship of financial resources. They take part in the preparation, review and approval of the parish financial report and budget submitted annually to the Bishop. Members serve at the discretion of the Pastor.
The Diocesean Ministries Appeal Committee
The parishioners of all the parishes within the diocese provide funds that help to support Diocesan programs and services, including Catholic Charities, educational programs and the parishes of the diocese. The Sacred Hearts Annual Appeal Committee coordinates the Appeal at the parish level. Members of the Committee plan mailings, write up pulpit and bulletin announcements, organize and maintain tables during “sign-up Sundays”. |
